Die Romantische Straße zelebriert am 8. Mai 2010 ihren 60sten Geburtstag. Selbstverständlich wird auch in Rothenburg ob der Tauber mitgefeiert. Unter anderem spielt der Posaunenchor um 20 Uhr auf dem Marktplatz.

The Romantic Road celebrates its 60th birthday on 8 May 2010. The city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber is going to take part in the festivities as well. Amongst other events, the Rothenburg Brass Band is going to perform on the market square at 8 pm.

Attraktive, kostenlose Wanderungen, zwanglose Zusammentreffen zwischen Wanderfreunden aus Nah und Fern, ein reicher Kulturkalender und nicht zuletzt die traditionelle fränkische Gastlichkeit, fügen sich zu einem reizvollen und abwechslungsreichen Programm zusammen.

Zweimal im Jahr finden diese Rothenburger Wanderwochen statt. Vom 1. bis 9. Mai 2010 ist man täglich in und vor allem um Rothenburg ob der Tauber im Rahmen der Frühlingswanderwoche auf den Beinen.

Die Herbstwanderwoche hält vom 9. bis 17. Oktober 2010 Einzug.

Twice a year, Rothenburg ob der Tauber on the Romantic Road is the meeting point for hiking fans from Germany and all over the world. Daily, attractive tours through the forests and the countryside of Rothenburg are on the schedule as well as cultural and culinary events in the beauteous middleage town.

The spring hiking week takes place from 1st until 9th May 2010, the autumn hiking week from 9th until 17th October 2010.

Carmina Burana Open Air in Rothenburg ob der Tauber – 07. August 2010

Das wuchtige und mitreißende Werk „Carmina Burana“ des deutschen Komponisten Carl Orff wird in der einmaligen Kulisse des Rothenburger Marktplatzes unter freiem Himmel am 07. August 2010 aufgeführt. Das Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra bietet diesen Meilenstein der Musikgeschichte im fantastischen Ambiente der Altstadt Rothenburg ob der Taubers dar.

Das Ensemble wird neben diesem bombastischen Werk noch weitere Highlights in einem ersten Teil von ca. 40 Minuten Dauer zum Besten geben. Geplant sind drei programmatische Orchesterwerke, die mit ihrer musikalischen Bildhaftigkeit bestechen:

Peer Gynt von Edvard Grieg
L‘Arlesienne von Georges Bizet
und die weltberühmte Star Wars Symphonie von John Williams.

Ein unvergessliche Klassik-Erlebnis unter Sternenhimmel mit zauberhaften Chor und Lichteffekten nur etwa 5 Gehminuten von unserer Ferienwohnung entfernt.
